nah whytee those numbers are completely unrealistic

ive sent a detailed note on this looking up average sales salary in a few cuties in the US for pharma sales reps and i got 93k usd base salary. if a sales rep is selling 1 million USD of btm they be making a min 10% that as commission imho (or a 200K usd salary)
id say thats what DW quoted on his interview is the guaranteed salary component not the at risk salary. but ifnthe company wants high growth then theyd also be paying near 100% commission on average. ie some sales staff 50% some sales staff 130%
i dont know their commission structure; it can vary;
paid commission from first sale
paid commission after the first 10k per month (to cover the base salary)
base salary guarantee with a at risk commision; maybe a 70/30 split; 70% guaranteed 100 k usd salary; with a 30% at risk commission 30 k USD; based on a 1 million quota. something like if they sell 500K they get 15 k usd (total 115K usd or 160k aud) if they sell 1 million they get additional 30k totalling 130K usd (185k aud) sounds about right

anyone here thinking the total salary is 100k hasnt a clue about sales and what the going rate is for sales reps in medical devices
i remember someone on here telling me 100 k total was reasonable because thats what they made, but the caveat that was 30 years ago! (and that salary in todays dollars just on inflation was a lot higher)

add to that yes you have a 85% margin
but sales guys and girls wine and dine. they travel lots. perks of the job. all company expenses.
and if they are wining and dining surgeons they are going to be expensive lunches
