There’s PLENTY of short sellers out there …. In fact if you read that notice you’ll see State Street has been consistently borrowing Mineral Resources shares to short from ING, Macquarie, UBS, Credit Suisse and others.

Now it has said it has also been buying (NOT borrowing!) to the point it holds more than 5% of shares - for me that’s good to know!

So I will give the notice a thumb’s up too because whether or not it decides to do what all its’ mates are already doing and lend its’ shares them to short sellers, it clearly sees forward value .
