Due to limited supply, those accumulating are forced to hunt up and down in an increasing range through the bids and asks. In my opinion it is looking a little more desperate, but that may just be wishful thinking!
If I was in Sam's shoes (and I am glad I am not!), the closer we get to company changing contracts, the less I would be giving any hints about it. It is just not worth the risk. However, Sam cannot control what information potential equity partners are sharing. It would not surprise me to see a lot more volatility in our SP.
