Interesting, thanks for the chart, it also coincides with ongoing Covid lockdowns that I am sure they are getting overly sick of. Hard to know if that is the main driver of of the print.. Definitely will be economic drivers in that too, but is that mostly driven by the Covid lockdowns.? Is a poor datapoint none the less.

I guess that's were we differ, I don't have a cellar and I haven't bought much of anything in any "Bull markets" apart from Lark (Stock), I just focus on debt reduction (house bought in 2014 & renovated in 2019 all pre Covid and property boom and construction cost boom.... is it all pre a property bust??? doesnt matter, need a house to live in) and saving/investing madly for kids to go to private school in a few years. No luxuries. Just save and invest repeat.. Very boring right.

So yeah there will be some demand in our age demographic / group but how big is it? It's probably not huge, I don't have any mates that buy premium whisky (maybe I have the wrong mates)! But we are all long term property owners & have kids, priorities differ I guess.

It is important to think/understand if your behaviour is representative of the population, or, make a concerted effort to understand what it representative of the population. Which is why it is great to have your commentary/ views.
