Reading too much into radio silence as an indicator of performance. Media embargo while work is underway. There are others parties involved operationally some on volunteer basis which necessitate this. If talks are underway with any of the majors from an early stage then that could a condition as well.
Majors are overly sensitive about confidentiality until the deal is done and they announce it or until they walk out. Some like to pen the announcement itself for the junior partner. Pedantic on a different level.
