Dr. Agree with you in principle. However assuming Grant is successful I have complete confidence in him making the right call on her appointment. It could well be with his discussions with her that she may well have something positive to contribute.
The bottom line is we want a first class Board and Management team. If she meets the new Chairman's criteria ; keep her, assuming she would want to stay. That would also be a test of her character....her belief that she can add value to the Company ,not loyalty to a Director who is doing everything possible to keep his (cushy ?) position.
It's TNG and its goal of becoming a major mining company that comes first, second, third and fourth in my book.
