I know exactly how you feel Ellimb. I had $137k saved up and I was doing little trades here and there. Only on blue chips of course. I wasn’t looking to make 10% or more on each trade. I was looking to make 1-2% each trade. With that amount of capital, I could make between $1-2k each trade with what I thought was very little risk.

Beginning of 2017, I saw Telstra had been as high as $6 and was now into the low $5’s. Thought I’d keep watching.

A month later I bit the bullet and bought $137k worth of shares at $4.85. I’ve seen millions of times a share bounce around. I thought it’s come off so much already, chances are it will go up 1-2% from when I bought it (even if it hasn’t reached the bottom yet).

Boy oh boy was I wrong.

Not once have I been in profit over these last 5 years. It’s been good collecting the dividends but that’s very slow. I liked the quickness of trading.

Literally couldn’t have timed the investment worse.

Now we’re so close to breaking into the $4’s again, I’m really hoping we could see a climb back above not just mine, but so many people’s buy price.
