Some good volume over the last few days, not sure if that's because of the recent news or more the resultant publicity. Infratil would have to be hands down one of the single best investments on the ASX/NZX.

Investors need infrastrastructure in their portfolios, now add the inflationary pressures - it's paramount to have infrastrcuture exposure. However, with listed access to this sector of the economoy becoming increasingly rare, we are seeing greater sums of capital poured into fewer opportunities, bodes well for early IFT investors. Infratil being the infrastructure conglomerate that it is, offers far superior and defensive characteristics compared to say Transurban or APA. Frankly, IFT is in a league of it's own. Investors of Infratil continuously find their money in the hottest sub-sectors making unfathomable returns.
As a bonus we have hoards of cash readily available at our disposal to purchase attractive opportunities or reinvestment in existing platforms without the need to compete e.g IFT's fresh US$100m investment in Longroad announced Monday. At the last presentation, the board said there were three business that the listed market was failing to appropriately value, 1) Vodafone 2) Longroad and 3) CDC. Currently waiting to hear more regarding the CDC opportunity but to understate Vodafone and Longroad, they have both been a huge success.
Based on the two most recent announcements, including proceeds from sale and reinvestments, my fair value per IFT share is updated to AU$10.77 (NZ$11.97).
