he is cited as a co-author of a paper from 1990 cited as discussing the possibility of mRNA technology. His involvement in the technology thereafter has been downplayed by all who know.

Malone of course is regarded as a darling by the ill-informed antivaxx cult for turning on the mRNA technology that he claims to have invented, now of course enjoying considerable financial benefit by allowing himself to be used by the muppets and the twerps.
