How do black swans fit into Bollinger Bands?
Charting is (as far as I can tell) largely an attempt to describe investor - or rather, trader - psychology in the form of equations. For weather-affected businesses, forecastable events such as El Ninos and La Ninas can be introduced into the Chartists' graphs, but unforeseeable occurrences, such as varroa, f&m, supercell storm fronts, and heatwaves, cannot, by definition, be included in a chart which supposedly represents a rational (or rationalized) expectation of investment performance.
Hence, even with all other things (management, markets) being equal, a rosy forecast for SHV, or probably any stock in the agriculture sector, can at best be little more than a case of well informed wishful thinking.
