jophda maybe kira is right here (but we don't know). The biz is still sucking in capital to grow output and they need to put something away to cover the dividend. The Exec Chair was flummoxed in the post result video as to market share price action....if cash wasn't tight why wouldn't they be buying back shares at 13.5/14c in volume? That's part of the problem here....management signal/say one thing & then do another (again).....institute a buyback & then abruptly stop when the share price plummets. Why? It's not a good look & undermines confidence. These guys don't get it & yet still wonder why the share price is where it is. They have to start backing up what they say.
You mentioned above the return of capital with respect to the ATO. I recall CE1 have stated it would be in the form of a dividend. Should not be problematic with the ATO
