The Sydney Trains strike action and the workers response to foreign built trains gives rise to another point: should it be lawful in Australia to refuse to work with a non-citizen visa holder given corporates should be training and providing experience to resident citizen workers?

You could also apply maximum deterrents to embellishments on visa applications such as detention/ deportations for any visa application embellishments.

If the visa applicant is provided with a visa erroneously due to the employing corporate not following the process, the corporate should be fined, the immigrant deported and the directors should be asked to complete community service orders to make good their error.

Labor market tests need to apply for any role provided to a foreign resident visa applicant before the visa is granted.

Student visas should IMHO only be given to applicants who commit to working no more than 10 hours every week.

That will deal with abuses of the AUstralian immigration and visa system or at least will go some way to doing so.
