Yeah a good theory however I can't imagine air defence didn't at least see it coming, and one would imagine an air base would be bristling with SAM sites for defence.
Possibly the attack was launched from the sea??
We just automatically presume it was land based (surface to surface) or air to surface.
But especially an airstrike would definitely have been seen coming.
Just odd to me that No defensive systems were triggered as they would also have been seen from miles around prior to the surface detonations!
