Absolutely. We have a crap EV infrastructure (fast chargers) here (at least in WA.... can't speak to other states). Not only aren't there enough fast chargers outside of the capital city... they aren't very reliable.

I only have about 160km range with my Leaf, which is plenty for getting around the Perth region (I charge once every few days at home), and never need a fast charger.

But.... when I ventured out to Mandurah the other weekend to chill with my daughter... I had it planned out via 'Plugshare'.
    - would top up in Cockburn, on the way to Rockingham... top up there, then go to Mandurah, and fast charge there, then go back home in one trip (no stops).
    Well...
    - Cockburn fast chargers faulty.
    - Rockingham fast charger (Tesla destination charger (type 2) which most others can use).... this particular one was locked to Tesla's only
    - Mandurah... faulty fast charger.
Most of the Tririum chargers seem to be unreliable, and parts take forever from USA.

    BUT...
If you have a Tesla, no worries.... can charge on the extensive Tesla network, and on other fast chargers. No worries. Also a great range, so don't have to charge as often as I would, when going on a trip (e.g. Perth > Albany.... I'd have to charge 3 times at least, whereas you can get to Albany without charging in a Tesla (or maybe once half-way, if you really wanted to top up).
Most EV's now have decent range, so won't have the issue I have in my 2016 30kwh Leaf. It's my entry level EV for $20k.... I plan on upgrading to the BYD Dolphin/Atto2/EA1 at the end of the year, for $35k (my Leaf is worth $30k on the AUS market... another reason why I imported it). When the Cybertruck come out in AUS in a few years time, I'll upgrade to one of them.

AND.... there are more fast charger being installed all the time, all over Aus. In WA, they just announce a big pile more across the state. So things are getting better all the time.

Don't forget.... you hardly ever need to use a fast charger. 99% of your charging is done at home.
