    I am sure that if a panel dies then the industry just regards the whole set as suspect and replaces them. I can understand that opinion, firstly it would be difficult to find a matching panel to replace the dead one and secondly it is highly likely that another panel will fail in the not too distant future resulting in more $ in labour to replace it and a cranky customer.

    That means that used panels are available for next to nothing if you don't mind a bit of troubleshooting to track down failed panels. It also means that thousands of operational panels are scrapped every year although some of them would only have a short remaining life. I am yet to see how reliable my experiment will be.
