    @Scooterdog; it's indeed very concerning that there are almost NO male teachers in Australian primary schools - many boys are alienated by that!

    That imbalance is nowhere near as marked in secondary schools, albeit the lack of female STEM teachers in secondary schools is concerning.

    The shortage of public school teachers is the consequence of decades of federal government wealth transfer into elitist private schools which neither value-add nor honour Australia's core values.

    It's dead simple; public school teachers are abandoning heavy workloads, hard yakka and poorly remunerated public schools for the rarefied air of grossly over-resourced federally-funded 'private schools' which operate on the basis of segregation and almost complete non public disclosure.
