Well after 6 weeks, I'm up about 20%.
Green is green but at the moment, that's a pretty average gain.

However, after starting a lot slower than anticipated, I'm expecting a big couple of weeks coming up to spud.

IVZ interview

So upcoming (if I have got my details and assumptions correct):
- we should have the additional acreage finalised or confirmed this coming week, possibly even tomorrow
- Tues 16th (overnight Tuesday here), the Zimbabwe Parliament should pass the legislation making the signing of the PPSA binding so the PPSA should be signed shortly after. I'm expecting an announcement possibly on Wednesday but maybe on Thursday or Friday. (Without the legislation, the PPSA can be signed but could then be overturned by a subsequent govt. Legislation makes the signing binding).
- spud in about 2 weeks. In the competition, my guess date is 22 August but it is sounding more likely to be around 26 August. Either way, it's "imminent". (The most hated term on the ASX!)
- there's also going to be an announcement sometime soon on the 35c options. I think there was a bit of a paperwork holdup or other difficulties for these. Worth keeping an eye on because if they do list, they should give some decent leverage. I'm not too confident about the liquidity though. Will have to make an assessment when they are listed as to whether they're worth the risk or not.

There are always risks but this is what I was getting set up for when I first established my 5k portfolio. As happens so often, it has taken longer than expected to play out but I am now on the cusp of something. Let's hope it flies rather than dies.
