I have no idea why people still use Telstra. I heard that they're putting up their postpaid prices, they're already uncompetitive.
We all just need voice and data. Prepaid plans are so much cheaper and avoid the Telstra billing nightmare. No credit checks if you're paying by BPAY. $200 a year in advance (for mobile), unlimited calls in Australia and more data than I could ever expect to use and I haven't had to ring support, not once in 3 years for either broadband or mobile.
With Telstra there were always issues (mostly billing but not always).
