there was - decades ago - a case in France and I think New Zealand where a woman apparently offended their partners masculinity and they too were found guilty because the woman provoked them. Poor men with fragile egos. From memory these cases involved the men using coercive control, subjecting their partners to abuse and effectively raping them. But unable to exercise self control and respond appropriately they killed their partners because they felt insulted.
