If I'm being honest, this is a complicated topic and I'm being a bit flippant as I already kind of see what your perspective is and I don't really think I will win you over.
Women want higher social status for themselves
But they still want their partners to have more social status than themselves.
And, I mean, there is a ton of literature on this, but there's not much point if you fundamentally disagree with the premise.
