There is a massive amount of information available out there and not many people know how to research or competently use a computer to analysis all that information, in fact the majority of people use their mobile phone, which are a very poor source of research
Do any simple Google search and there will be over a million replies, the vast majority of people have no hope to sort the wheat from the chaff so they pick a rep;y that matches their original opinion and stick with it and then don't bother to check to se if it is accurate
There was a time when we could get facts from the media, now all they print are opinions, there was a time when we could trust the government figures, now all we get are political announcements.
Then there is all the advertising which push a particular point of view which do not include any truth at all
