Yes. The call for shareholder support doesn't resonate particularly well when the Chair is not a shareholder himself and shares held by the CEO are via a company loan. Shareholders expect the board to have skin in the game nowadays.
Also, the warning about potential delays involved in a change of management are a bit "pot calling kettle black" given we've had major delays under current management.
This announcement perhaps does more harm than good, IMO.
