I'm not sure of this journalist's credentials, or if they have an axe to grind, either personally or politically, but to state that the French are supplying and supporting terrorist groups in the Sahel is patently ludicrous.
If the military leader of the Malian Junta is actually saying this, then I'd be referring him for medical testing, maybe to get some bloods taken, and possibly testing for syphilitic and other neurological diseases.
It's the French who have enabled the country to operate since 2014, spending billions on Mali and sacrificing their own young French soldiers in the process.
I don't think any leader of the Malian Junta would be criticizing the French, and that's why I'd question the accuracy of the reporting.
The terrorists did attack the capital Bamako in July, and do seem to be spreading slowly, but someone has to be off their rocker if they think this is the fault of the French.
