If I wore a black leather belt as opposed to a brown leather belt, it wouldn't be bad, but it wouldn't be good. It's an unimportant thing.
The relevance here is that people were acting like it was some sort of positive sign, but really it's fundamentally irrelevant and clearly just being done for the announcement. If you think 'celebrating' was too strong a word, replace it with one you consider more appropriate or consider the context. Either way, the thread is right here so you can read it and judge for yourself the level of positivity some members had about this fundamentally unimportant news.
