Ok I have got to the bottom of CommSec's iron ore price.
CommSec's iron ore price today is $104.72, which is the closing price of the August SGX contract on the 18 August 2022.
Therefore the CommSec iron ore price is unfortunately the front month SGX contact which isn't the best measure to use, especially toward the end of the month.
