Just gone over the sound bite at 40.02mins on the Santos brokers cast where the second broker's question on Dorado gas is telling. KG mentions backfill gas from Dorado for Varanus island, as a new concept that the engineers are looking at for the project that will be less capex and quote " a better outcome for all parties."
From the first broker"s question on Dorado at 39.00mins KG does seem like he preferred more Gas at Pavo, maybe for the backfill concept to work, and hence why awaiting the drill at Pavo sth(for gas ratio) and further appraisals before committing to a timeline for FID to see if the new concept is viable..

just my take.. hopefully Ya and others can elaborate more on this new "integrated Oil & Gas" concept for Dorado

Hopefully it is a better (and quicker) outcome. It's a little comforting as well that they might be looking at alternative concepts and not just waiting for conditions to change.
