You would think so but part of the problem is there aren’t many examples to copy. The article below is a good reference to what a mixed bag these quarternary brine deposits are:

Compass Minerals/Lake Ogden looks to be closest example but evaporation conditions will be different to WA. Kalium lakes is now using the same Utah consultants that APC has named. We will see if they can make a difference.
As a side note you will see that Intrepid Potash mines Wendover by trench and has been doing so for 65 years. Matt Shackleton should take note.
