OMRON alone sold over 300M in-home BP devices globally last year .The CONNEQT Pulse and accompanying APP is chasing a share of a very large market, with Central Blood Pressure using Sphygmocor technology the differentiator, and we will still deliver traditional Brachial Blood Pressure readings. Even 1% share of OMRONs market would deliver 3M units at ~$125 a unit wholesale price - $375M. Just in case anyone was wondering ... taking ConneQt Pulse to market BIG news, and an important step in building a significant business.
Then there is the SaaS part of the equation to generate recurring revenue.
The Omron Smart Elite Blood Pressure Elite sells for $260 in Chemist Warehouse. We will be targetting a similar price point, maybe stretching up to $300 with the added features we offer. Working down through margins for retail/ wholesale/ CDX / Manufacturer.... I see a cost in the $60 - $80 range.
As Craig said in the recent webinar, building a business is a capital intensive exercise, and we shouldn't be afraid of it !
This is not a lifestyle business .... I've had my fair share of those ... Craig & Niall are on the path to building something substantial.
