Very simply: the product is a "glue" that is able to "stick" proteins (unique identifiers from various viruses, bacteria, protozoans, enzymes, hormones, unique proteins/DNA/RNA from various body cells from any living organism) from entities to various "testing media" without damaging any of the protein and in very small quantities. Thus the test becomes more accurate and more sensitive. Very wide spectrum of use in many scientific disciplines.
