Well it's most likely something we (general public) suspected all these years ago - junkets overseas, weekend retreats, free travel, holidays in disguise all cost money and big pharma has deep pockets and lobbyists to ensure the good old Dr. X gets whatever s/he wants so they can push the drugs via a legal outlet at the expense of lives. Biggest bang for buck, and the weakest link - greed!
Ever wonder why they come down so hard on the street peddlers because big pharma doesn't like competition.
