No company needs to pay a dividend by any rule... If they did not the market would had severely punished them however.

They have made the same offer to retail investors that they did to INSTOS in Dec 2009. I gathered to keep make the sentiment from retail investors feel like they are not being ripped off...

If the SP was currently 50c, they were to make retail investors the same 40c offer, as they promised. Now the market is down a lot further and market sentiment is a lot further down and the SPP put sentiment down even further for ABP- it a great buy under 40c. If the market looks like it is picking up.

The end date for the 40c offer approaches and no one will take up the offer unless we comfortably head over 40c.

When our shares are not diluted anymore, we still getting huge dividends, the overall commercial market lifts then we will be laughing.

Lest us not forget that a month ago ABP headed towards 50c, as the overall market bounced near ASX 5000. We will be back there again if we a a couple of good weeks on the market- IMO.

Who can really guess the overall market- none of us...Yet relative to the market we should grow or fall relative to the market. Yet we got near a 10% income from dividends (3c), not a bad deal in my book.

Compare the graph of ASX Vs ABP for last year and they are similar. When ABP falls a lot below it picks up very quickly, it is currently far below. 43c makes it about fair value to the market- SPP and XD took its toll on the stock.

Been trying to accummulate the last couple of days for 38c, yet my order is not getting filled.

Was temporarily back at 40c on Friday, as market sentiment improves a little bit (Knock on wood). One week can see us back at 45c-IMO. Then we will take up the SPP if we have time and can get liquid out fast enough.

I will have 15K ready- just in case.
