I believe the Attorney generals opinion was given out yesterday, I believe they said Scomos self appointed ministerial roles were "valid". I think Albo is still going to go ahead and launch an investigation into Scomos actions, which to me hints that certain steps and procedures weren't followed and Albo is concerned about the legal side of things, otherwise why would he publicly state that he's seeking legal advice on the matter. Imo it is anti democratic, you'd hardly call us a democracy if the PM got a chance to have the final decision on any issue he chooses. I'm a lib supporter and Scomo may believe he acted in good faith regarding this whole situation as a whole but the public doesn't see it that way, myself included. Not informing the ministers themselves and the general public is a spit in the face. If he was acting in good faith and using it as a backstop incase of emergency, why keep it a secret? The resource portfolio isn't anywhere near significant as the other roles he took. Other portfolios I can understand why you'd want a backup, I just can't see any reasonable excuse as to why he took over the resources portfolio during covid other then for his own political gain. I'm sure all will be laid out on the table when the court case is heard.
