i was just trying to work out all the panic re: road freight ,so i decided to have a go at working it out

by road from mine to port is 33okm. if they were to meet the deadline for the 1st shipment they need 40k tonnes, each truck carries 40t, so you need 1000 trips..full load 1 way at 40kmh .they use up 100 lts of fuel@ ~35 lt/100km, return trip empty load use 75 lts fuel.
so 175 ltrs of fuel @ ~ $2 p/l= $350 for fuel per truck there and back ..you need 1000 trips = $350,000 fuel bill
pay for drivers ....40 drivers @ 6 days a week for a month= pay bill 40 x $300p/m = $12000 pay bill

total cost of transportation by road is $362,000 for 40,000t === sold 40,000t @ $60 pt (guessing) = $2.4m

- cost of mining @about $12p/t = $480,000 cost + $360,000 transport

total cost of ore is $840,000*

lets say $1,000,000* total cost

so 40,000t at $1,000,000 cost equates to $25 pt
