If the issue at hand is debt rollovers, then ASIC cannot easily raise a new issue. That is, pursuant to respnsible lending obligations, the original loan should never have been made. That is drawing too long a bow, IMO.
ASIC has lost many court cases by being to wrapped in anti-business do-goodism. Often companies do not put up a fight, and concede the joust. The idea that people should not pay their sebts is absurd. CCP itself has stated that 80% of loan applications are rejected, and I have read criticism of that on social media. To whom would many people turn if CCP and similar lenders raised the rejection rates to 95% - the Mongols?
