Agree with your calcs, but ... 1) I have enough PDL at the moment 2) If the deal does not go ahead, I want insurance. PPT was cheap at $27.20 on its own pre-merge. 3) If PPT bounces, when analysts do their stuff, I might be out on a quick trade. 4) PPT has a nice little franked div on the near horizon.
Logic looks different to each of us. Be nimble with some trades. Be slow on others.
