David, how is this irresponsible? 10c is a tiny A$80M payout when March-June EBITDA was over A$200M... I simply do not understand how this is irresponsible.
It is fairly normal for companies to have a 60-90% NPAT payout ratio - extremely normal.
If you were a coal miner, with a coordinated effort from banks and financial institutions in bed with government, to actively prevent you bringing on additional supply - actively impacting the fundamental of the supply / demand based norms of capitalism.... Why would you not reward shareholders and pay out substantial amount of NPAT... Mine until end of asset life, make bucket loads of cash and move on - it is clear that there is no other alternative, that's what Biden keeps telling me.
