TOTAL BULL DUST ,
Why Poseidon No 2 failed is a geological mystery, which Karoon and US oil giant Conoco Phillips, the major partner in the discovery, are still investigating. But essentially the well failed to hit the predicted gas-bearing rocks more than 4000 metres below the ocean floor.
These people really don t have a clue .
Every objective of this well has been met .
1 .the depth of the gwc .
2 . the quality of the gas ,initial samples are high in methane low co2 .
3 the extent of the 3 main sands a b and c ,all where hit .
4 .The gas is proven to be movable even at the extemities .
5. new montara plover hit gas charge RESERVOIR ( drilling mud weight needed to be increased to keep in check the expansion of the gas .
The idea that a high flow rate was an objective of the well is just wrong, if anyone can show me where conoco or karoon once said this, then i will concede .
These so called experts are just in stilling fear into holders , their purpose who knows .but they need to do their research before sharing their views with us .
They hit the gas bearing rocks below 4000 mtrs.
