Div is great if it comes with franking credit, but if the company is like A2M (non-resident for tax purposes) then I prefer buyback and see the share price appreciation instead of unfranked div. at least we will qualify for a 50% CGT discount as opposed to a full tax bill on unfranked div.
The team at A2M has done us a great favor for reporting a day ahead of schedule to save us from the market meltdown expected todayThis can help some investors from margin calls. I have been in that position before, it is not fun
