It's a shame the ACA interview missed Sydney & Brisbane audiences. But it's a start in the right direction.

Why would a consortium want to buy Yallourn without an economic method of drying lignite? It's a liability without that. Probably worthless imo. They have to include ECT - does anyone here know of another economic method approaching successful commercial demonstration? There isn't one. Coldry is the last man standing as the aldp debacle testifies. Even USA based CTW tried to do a deal with ECT. ECT recently said no in the quarterly. CTW have been trying for as long as ECT. Exergen, CEA etc are history although their disgruntled ex shareholders still post prolifically on ECT.

Has anyone seen ACA do an interview with Kawasaki/HECS? Nope. Then Merzian would have a justified field day as HECS requires combustion & stuffing the CO2 under Bass Strait. One of the most important statements Glenn made is Coldry doesn't require combustion. Merzian ignored this fact. His entire argument is mute.

Imo HECS is doomed for 4 reasons. It requires combustion, therefore expensive/unproven CCS & community support. Lastly, why would the environmental groups/community, support stuffing CO2 under Bass Strait IF Coldry can store the CO2 in Ag soil & enable new value adding industries to commence in the LV? Have a look at Georgia Westgarths (ACA reporter) bio. If HECS ever get anywhere near production, imo ACA & many others including Twiggy will hammer it. Read what Forrest has said about the HECS project. He hates it.

Notice Federation University added very positive comments for ECT in the interview. Excellent.

ECTs success is not dependant on hydrogen. Coldry is the all important crucial tech. Without that being successful, it's game over. However if it is commissioned successfully then it's game on. Imo the consortium members will likely be EnergyAustralia, fertilizer groups etc. Didn't EA say they are going 100% hydrogen? Remember Hitler produced enormous amounts of diesel from lignite. But he didn't do it economically. However, it highlights what ECT have been saying for years - the chemical properties of lignite are extremely valuable.

After I post this, the usual disgruntled posters who lost $ in the past (notice most only post on ECT) will say ..."ECT have always failed & always will". Imo they are blinded. Lots has changed in the last year. The hydrogen revolution was previously ruled out for cars. Not anymore. Etc, etc.

Also, Glenn, Ashley, Adam & team have ~12-15 years experience fine tuning their knowledge of lignite chemistry & applications. Also, Yallourn etc are closing earlier & earlier. Great opportunity to part own the world class resource & also own 100% of the crucial primary front end tech Coldry. (I would assume Loy Yang etc would also eventually do a licencing deal for Coldry - what other options do they have?) Lastly, ECT have the 2 new directors who basically have their 40m 3c Feb 17 2023 oppies as their reason for being involved. Plenty of incentive. Plenty of pressure I would imagine. Those 3c oppies were pretty much the reward for the $5m raising participants at 3c. Theres alot riding on these next couple of months.

Going to be an interesting lead up to the AGM (usually end Nov) & then Feb 17. My guess is ECT will want a successful final wet commissioning completion by late October to allow plenty of time for the market to digest it & get things ready for the AGM. Generally, about Dec 12 till end of Jan is dead. So it's really make or break by Nov 1 imo.

Ashley made an encouraging comment in the recent quarterly below. Hopefully the final wet commissioning stage has similar success. If it does then imo we will see share price fireworks. Especially if Coldry can largely minimise the need for the Pack Bed Dryer. What did Glenn say - 30-40% capex/opex savings possible for LV plant. Significant.

We’re pleased to report that after several months of dry commissioning, we achieved an outstanding pellet result from our first wet commissioning run through the entire primary processing system. The sample pellets taken from this commissioning run have dried to a hard, dense state, in line with desired product specifications, which is a tremendous early win that allows us to proceed with the commissioning of the conditioning system and from there into Phase 2 development.”

    All imo.

    tick tock...
