GeoffinAdelaide, I agree with you that the comments Gooding has made have come out sounding very bad. IMO he had to quell the groundswell of local PNG opinion about value of the asset and its potential, but he could have much more eloquently put those same points across with more recognition that not just local PNG was going to read the comments - I believe his comments are not market savvy at all.
One has to wonder, particularly as he made that previous goof-up with exercising and selling share options, whether he is the real deal for a company with the future to be a market darling, he is not helping that cause one bit!
To be honest I lost patience despite my firm belief HIG has the potential, because of its assets not its management, to be a great company.
