tailslide...Actually they estimated 500k to reassemble on site plus 800k to upgrade, (total 1300k). Yes someone is taking the piss. Do they think this type of back of envelope calculation even passes the pub test? Let alone the test of mining semi professionals.
And from those dodgy numbers can we imply someone has previously been paid 500k to assemble the SAME plant, then test, and then another 500k to disassemble at Lansdale? I DONT THINK SO. What ever it cost to assemble at Landsdale should be similar at Kat Gap.There would be additional costs at Kay Gap for installing concrete footings and tie bolts and that's about all. Plus a 15-20 tonne crane and a few qualified riggers**.

The plant is designed in modular form precisely for the purpose of easy on site assembly. They should make up their minds.... is the plant for easy cheap assembly, or a labour intensive money spinner for people living out off the pockets of shareholders. The shareholders have already paid for the former so CLZ would need to have a good explanation to change the rules of the game now.

**Trust me I have disassembled and relocated steel structures to the goldfields AND installed concrete and steel from Laverton to Widgemooltha Mundaring and all points between.
