interesting chart but Germans were never huge coal users. their entire energy system is basically gas fed by Russia with all infrastructure from that single feed point already in place. so it makes sense that they would import gas to put into the system instead of buying lots of coal. other countries that have coal power plants and aren't set up for gas distribution across entire country won't be seeing any big drops i think...
