telephone numbers going public, page-7

    Hi MobyT,

Before I submitted the post I did do a thorough check on the link to see that it actually was the same as the official website. It is, of course the same as the official website.

I searched for info on the public aspect of the numbers, but couldn't find anything about that. Thought that the website might not yet be updated. That's how I found the link to the 4m numbers registered.

I'm a little confused myself about how they could charge, but I have noted that sometimes when I answer the phone, I then hear a ring tone and someone picks up at the other end and starts their speil (or should that be schpeil?).

Either way, it appears that the link is legit, and it's not a bad thing to be registered. Registration lasts for 3 years.

The letterhead from the Police looked legit as well.

Must admit I had been meaning to register for some time, but this link was the easy peasy way to do it.

    Cheers,
    Tangrams
