Many thanks. I do not work in the field, but have a lot of knowledge from years of investing.

In terms of expected result there are too many to speculate and too many combinations to name.

To me its not a question of if this is viable. Its what can they learn about the formations, enegennering and infrastrucure requirments. Far better to take a whole field approach to testing then a single well approach.

They have stated they will go straight to production if feasable, but that just means in terms of using the zone. They will want to get all the data they can to determine the viability of a 2nd, 3rd, 4th well into the same zone.

The geology will also be studied to assess whether hydro, acid, or other stimulation may help not only on this well but for future wells. Salt will cause all sorts of issues and so extra care and multiple readings will be taken at each stage to ensure accuracey.

Investors need to realise this is not a one well prospect. If it was they would not have doubled the leases. As such the feasability and design parameters require enough assessemnt to make long term decisions. And while those decisions seem frustrating this week , we will see the rewards upon the design, drilling and production from further wells.

This well is clearly a test well and as such its more likely to go into production as a test well even if marginally viable. On the figures ive ssen so far unless they have not been sustained, its in my opinion easily viable. Even if zone 1 is un commercial its worth running it to sales just to test its capacity and the changes in formations as gas flows. It can then be cased if not commercial and additional zones can be explored.

This is far more complex then it seems, but at the end of the day this well has a good chance of being commercial and a better chance of making future wells extremely productive.
