I bought a small amount at open for 10c. To me currently there are prospective and contingent resources today which technically aren't commercial but a decent chance a chunk can be converted to reserves by Sproule which are commercial?
At a guess 2.4tcf of contingent resources so maybe not unreasonable to guess 1tcf can be converted to reserves? Then what prices can KKO get per mcf maybe about $10/mcf ? So doing the math that would be significant inground value and then maybe consider the KKO market cap could then be with at maybe 2.5% of the inground value. ie maybe a $10b inground value of reserves of which 2.5% is 250 million? The currency might be USD so higher in AUD?
Maybe different geology but looked as a guide at the history of Renergen - RLT located also in South Africa and how they progressed from contingent resources to reserves with the 2021 reserves update also done by Sproule.
