To clarify, it's actually the first day when you can sell and still be eligible for the rights isn't it?
Presumably the selling is from people who don't want to increase their holding and are therefore selling it at 0.002 and exercising their 1 for 1 rights at 0.001, thereby making a 100% gain on the situation they would have had if they had simply done nothing and not taken up their rights.
That's what I'm doing. I own 20m shares and don't want to double that holding until the new board prove themselves.
