"your management offered me a deal and you want to reneg on it"
Correction, you got a 1:1 offer because you "want a decent discount due to market risk". The risk was two fold, one market, the other, the resolution will pass. No reneging. It's part of the risk and the deal.
You, as a SI, are entitled to take up the discounted offer and the potential of an option.
I, as a SH, am entitled to vote 'No'. No reneging, that was the deal on the table.
I didn't vote last time. This time I will be.
