The oil throughout the shale is uniform.
The flowrates depend on the fraccing and how wide it opens.
To compare flowrates from 2 years ago to now is just not doing enough research.
From stonger propants and more fraccing to even using a different production casing.
Another well just released from the confidential list is
Slawson coyote 1-23h that was drilled on 18/9/09.
15443ft and production of 846bopd,not initial flow.
It's in another county but just more evidence from the recent wells drilled and the new fraccing technique.
Even the md of kodiak oil admits the recovery is better from the shorter laterals.
The recent wells drilled a few miles to the north west had excellent flowrates from the short and long laterals.
More information will come this month from sundance with their 1.35% interest the Tong Trust well to the north east
    being fracced by halliburton.

"That infill drilling will using far more advanced cpmpetion processes than they used in the earlier field development. There is potential for many 3000+ bopd infill wells in the future.(9000ft)
A small E&P company that hold acreage in an area that has been "de-risked" by other operators could also be considered for invetment."

Ssn is on the verge of being de-risked.

The other thing for the future is the drainage area of each well.
If they have to frac every 340ft,its only draining equal that amout on either side of the 5000ft lateral.
At 500ft wide it's only draining a strip 500ft wide x5000ft long which is 25000000 square ft.

That's a 60 acre strip through the middle of the field that is 640 acres.

    Good trading.

Ssn in the US again stayed above the 50 week moving average
and finished at 40c. After hours trade 43c.
