Your telepathy is strong this morning Gospel. I would love to know why the existing shareholders who got Comet this far are not considered worthy to participate in the capital raise now that we have our Unicorn. Is Institutional and sophisticated investors’ money worth more than ours? And with a Unicorn in our back pocket, why a 29% discount to the privileged new shareholders on the block? This reeks of “jobs for the boys”, and I would like to see the due diligence process behind the selection of the brokers, magnitude of the discount offered, declarations around conflicts of interest, and back to the start, why existing shareholders were excluded. Comet Ridge’s Head of Risk and Compliance should have all the answers. IMO this will still be profitable for shareholders, and probably a good time to top up….that won’t change how I vote when it comes to the remuneration report.
