"Major Project Status helps companies access extra support, coordination, and information services from the Major Projects Facilitation Agency which acts as a single entry point into the Australian Government regulatory approvals pathway"

@Mas37 if you are so concerned with the other company and their MPS maybe read their announcements and you will see why they have not applied. A little company called Fortescue Metals Group never received major project status either, neither have many other major companies....guess they are not as prestigious.
